Following charges of corruption in selection of candidates for gazetted officers’ posts by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), Karnataka Government will study the examination pattern of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to see if it can be adopted by the KPSC to ensure transparency.

Yesterday KPSC released KAS exam 2011 batch provisional selection list despite  getting the CID investigation report of “gazetted officers’ posts-2011 & courts suggestion to conduct revaluation of answer sheets+re-interview to release fresh merit list.Local TV channels including print media criticized over move by KPSC & many KAS aspirants in-line to move supreme court to get stay order.

Since the KPSC is an autonomous body they took decision in hurry to release result, by considering upcoming election schedule. Now its upto the government to either accept or reject this merit list suggested by KPSC.Final decision is now left with Karnataka government.

As per high trusted sources government is in line to notify this years recruitment notification.

Despite the government in hot seat of this controversy, now department of government personnel selection has submitted their report to recruit fresh 227 gazetted probationers for 2012 batch to cover ongoing personnel shortage in the government department. They also suggested to recruit additional 152 gazetted probationers for 2013 batch. so in total around 370-388 post to be filled during the year 2014-2015.
